Color Tech - Hugh's notes

Color notes in with the Hughtopias? Yes, it turns out that working with color is more difficult than it needs to be because of a concept called "Color Theory". I wondered why "Color Theory" was still an issue when the physics was nailed down a hundred years ago and the technology was in place 90 year ago. It turns out that Color Theory provides textbook examples of what is sometimes called "elite capture". My notes sidestep most of these social issues, but give a solid starting place for anyone who wants to address them.

Joan developed a color mixing tutorial and as one of her editors (thank you, others) I found myself with questions about color science, color technology, and "color theory".  On the hunt for answers I accumulated 40 pages worth of opinions and information. It contains stuff that I plan to use for short pieces and stuff that Joan will probably clip and re-edit as blog posts.

Here's the RTF. It has pictures embedded with the text so it is a hefty 60 megabytes and would be a big printout. Google Drive dropped the pictures when I tried to preview it,  so you have to download it and view in WordPad or Word or Libre Write. You can use the "search" function to find your name or specific topics.

If you have suggestions for stuff that I should add or remove, let me know.
